The current and future faces of women in healthcare

During a monitoring and evaluation trip to Assosa, Ethiopia in June 2019 various health clinics and posts were monitored for the availability, quality and functioning of immunization supply and cold-chain. The Monitoring and Evaluation team met with many doctors and health volunteers, who were mostly women from the local community. Just outside one of the clinics, Amenat, a health volunteer as part of the Ethiopian Integrated Women Development Army, and her daughter, Suman Jemale, sat outside of the health post. Amenat was proud to be a health volunteer and was happy to have her daughter join her.
